About Us
Rav Yisroel Mayer Kagan ZT"L
("The Chofetz Chaim") founded the Yeshiva in 1864.
Until his passing in 1933, Rabbi Kagan was recognized worldwide as the
leader of Klall Yisroel (World Jewry). He spread his message of Torah
teachings through proclamations, lectures and through the publishing of his
twenty-one books on the laws of daily living, charity, kindness, and careful
speech (Refraining from Loshon Horah (gossip) etc.).
The Chofetz Chaim picked his son-in-law Rav Mendel Zaks Zt"l as Rosh
HaYeshiva in Radin. Upon Arriving to the US during WWII, Radiner Rosh
Hayeshiva gathered his surviving talmidim and restarted the Yeshiva and Kollel
Kodshim in New York with his son Rav Geshon Zaks the Rosh Hayeshiva Zt"l.
It is now sixty years since the Yeshiva has been driven out from Radin
and Yeshiva Chofetz Chaim continues on the path set out by its
founding fathers as a bright, guiding beacon of light in these dark,
confusing and turbulent times. In addition to our primary mission to
deliver unparalleled quality in Jewish Torah education, the Yeshiva is a
center of kindness, charity and assistance to those in need.
The Yeshiva has established a network for extensive communal assistance
reaching out to hundreds of families and individuals in their time of need.
The Yeshiva is under the leadership of the Roshei HaYeshiva
Horav Yisroel Mayer Zaks Shlit"a and Horav Aryeh Zev Zaks Shlit"a
